ROBOTIC DMD - DMD 44R / 66R
The POM Robotic-based Direct Metal Deposition (DMD®) System is a fiber coupled diode laser system integrated with a 6 Axis industrial robot for depositing complex metal alloy powders on massive tool components for repair in industry applications. The Robotic DMD® system offers a large work envelope of 1.955m x 2.14m x 330° (Model 44R) or 3.2m x 3.665m x 360° (Model 66R). The Robot DMD is versatile as it brings the machine to the part rather than the part to the machine as in traditional technology. This is especially proven beneficial to our clients in the Oil & Gas, Mining, and Automotive industries,
DMD® system has successfully been applied to the restoration of precision components such as stub shafts, diaphragms, trim dies and punches, down hole drilling heads using complex alloys such as Tool Steels, Stellites®, and Inconel® .
