The DM3D Robotic-based Direct Metal Deposition (DMD) Inert Chamber System is a fiber coupled diode laser system integrated with a 6 Axis industrial robot installed inside an inert chamber with glovebox for depositing complex metal alloy for research and development , manufacturing and repair under inert atmosphere. The system can be applied to the restoration of sensitive components such as turbine blades, rotating air seals, cases, shrouds, discs and stator assemblies, all of which are candidates for restoration procedures using technology due to their sophisticated metallurgy, complex design and high intrinsic cost.
